Antique American Chippendale mahogany corner chair having a raised moulded back rest above a horizontal, semi-circular arm rail terminating to circular hand rests; having two open carved pretzel splats, slip seat, turned arm supports terminating to square Chippendale legs with stop fluting; square cross stretchers, straight apron, 16 seat height, fine original condition and finish, Goddard School, Newport, R.I., circa 1770.
