Description
A glass plate negative depicting Landfall, a house completed between 1895-1896 by Odgen Codman, Jr. (also referred to as the Alfred Coats House and Southerly). Architectural features include a hip roof, quoins, dormered windows, shutters, a balustrade at rooftop, and an entrance doorway with a fanlight. A carriage with horse can be seen on a paved area directly in front of the house; several men stand nearby. The house appears on a relatively sparse property, with grass and a rock outcropping at right. Faint silhouettes of other houses can be seen in the distance at left.
