A Watercolor Portrait of Margaret G. Armstrong
A WATERCOLOR FULL LENGTH PORTRAIT OF MARGARET G. ARMSTRONG (American, August 7, 1895) by (her brother) Edward Maitland Armstrong (American, 1874-1919). In the watercolor Margaret (1867-1944) is seated wearing a white tea dress with mutton sleeves decorated with a blue stain sash and bow, her gaze is tilted upwards and her arms are behind her back. It seems that Armstrong completed the watercolor in one and a half hours, it is written pencil on the bottom right "Time 1 ½ Hours." It is signed and dated by the artist on the bottom left corner.
