TWO GILT BRONZE LAMP STANDARDS (French, late 19th century) from the workshop of Jules Allard and Sons. Original to the Marble House Dining Room the pair of candelabra standards have elaborate frames inspired by the Passemant astronomical clock at Versailles. The top of the central column is shaped into a flower filled vase, from this fifteen foliate candle arms emanate, below are goat head masks on the body, and Apollo masks decorate the base.
