Rice paper Watercolor Painting of a Boy Holding a Pink Flower
A rice paper watercolor painting of a boy holding a pink flower (Chinese, 19th century). The boy in the painting wears a blue shirt and pink pants, he holds a pink flower in his right hand. The back of the frame holds two notes, the first letter reads “Greetings from Andrew and Mary Chalmers Wilson and our love. Christmas 1940.” The second letter taped to the back says “A nosegay from far overseas to greet you, Christmas day! May luck and happiness and ease and peace all come your way. This is the wish of your old friend” signed Andrew Mary.
