Description
An ebonized cherry and glass Japonesque fire screen (American, c. 1880) attributed to Herter Brothers of New York. Two panels of glass pressing ferns, moss, and seaweed are enclosed in an ebonized cherry frame with marquetry details of an urn, sunflowers, and laurel branches. Animal paw feet extend from the frame, and two lion head finials extend from the top.
