Description
A black and white photograph labeled " 'Beach Mound,' " once the residence of Benjamin Thaw. The house is located at the intersection of Bellevue Avenue and Ocean Avenue and was built by architect Henry Ives Cobb. Two facades of the house are visible in the photograph; architectural elements include a Colonial Revival pediment supported by Ionian order columns, dormered windows, three chimneys, and a first-floor porch with striped shades. The gates of the house are in the foreground of the photograph.
