Description
A black and white photograph depicting the interior of a factory on Goat Island, just prior to redevelopment. During World Wars I and II, Goat Island served as the location of the U.S. Naval Torpedo Station. The factory appears to be made mainly of brick and steel beams. The large open space in the middle is covered with debris, including barrels, circular papers, machine parts, and crumbling infrastructure. Large strands of paper are seen strewn throughout the building.
