UNTITLED INTERIOR SCENE (Italian, 1857) by G. Lufrani (Italian), this watercolor on paper scene depicts Mr. and Mrs. Watts Sherman (Watts Sherman 1809-1865, Sarah Maria Gibson Sherman 1841-1878) in the salon of a rented palazzo in Rome following Mr. Sherman's retirement from the Bank of Albany. The work is signed on the lower left in red "G. Lufrani/Roma 1857."
