Architectural pamphlet entitled, "Malcontenta, Venice," surveying Malcontenta, a sixteenth-century estate designed by Palladio for the Foscari family. A snapshot photograph of the house is included. A bookplate from the library of Alice Brayton is pasted inside the front cover.

Inscription in front pages reads, "To that blessedly immutable New Englander - the unforgettable little girl who threw a silver spoon at the face of that Italian intruder with huge mustachios, 18 April 1940, with respectful & appreciative homage from the author, Bertie Landsberg."
