Description
A SQUARE COVERED TOBACCO BOX (Dutch, 1900) by Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) with four sides decorated with Dutch landscape scenes framed in floral borders. It has a pagoda-shaped lid with four zones in triangular-shaped cartouches also framed in floral bands. It is surmounted by a parrot finial on a ball. It is marked on the underside with a picture of a jar, the initials JT, and "Delft v 3 3/4." Also attached to the underside is an original paper label reading "faience de Delft, F. Cossa, 39 Boulevard, Voltaire, Paris."
