Description
A MARBLE URN (French, late 19th century) from the workshops of Jules Allard et ses Fils, Paris. It is adorned on two opposites sides with satyr faces, the opening rim of the urn is decorated with an egg and dart motif, the upper body of the urn is encircled with a Rococo style vine design, the bottom of the urn is carved with acanthus leafs, and it stands on a fluted ring base.
