Description
SET OF 8 BRONZE WALL SCONCES (American, late 19th century) designed by Louis Comfort Tiffany (American, 1848-1933), installed in the Billiard Room on the first floor of The Breakers. Each is in the form of a torch decorated with a variety of raised stylized ornamental motifs. They are suspended from and supported by half-circle brackets decorated with a pattern of coiled rope surrounding four opal glass panels.
