Description
Three measuring cups (English, late 19th century) by James Yates (English, active 1837-1891). The pewter cups are graduated in size, with pear shaped bodies, a strap side handle, and horizontal molded bands. The size of the measuring cup is inscribed around the rim of the cup, the smallest (.1) is marked "1/2 Gill", the middle cup (.2) is marked "Gill", and the largest (.3) is marked "1/2 Pint" and is also impressed with the makers name "James Yates."
