Description
A pair of ormolu chenets (or andirons) (French, 19th century) in the form of boldly modeled rampant lions. The lions rest their top halves on asymmetrical shaped escutcheons with foliate decoration. The lions stand on shaped bases chiseled with foliate scrolls and matching scroll feet.
