Description
A Louis XV style painted two-fold floor screen (American, late 19th century) designed by Ogden Codman, Jr. (American, 1863-1951) and attributed to the manufacturer A. H. Davenport Co., Boston and East Cambridge, MA. The rococo style screen is painted with colorful floral sprigs against a beige ground, each shaped panel is surmounted by a foliate crest, fitted with a rectangular glass panel, and has a recessed panel on the bottom. The screen stands on four curled feet.
