Description
Two from a group of four bronze female figures entitled "The Four Seasons" (American, 1934) by Wheeler Williams. The allegorical figures of "Spring" and "Summer" are signed and dated in script on left of bases: "Wheeler Williams 1934." These figures were originally intended for the niches of the staircase at the Verner Z. Reed estate "Seafair" estate designed by William MacKenzie in Newport, RI.
