Description
A bronze equestrian sculpture of the race horse "Maintenon" (English, 1907) by Herbert Haseltine. The colt Maintenon was conditioned for racing by trainer William Duke at the Vanderbilt stud farms, the "Haras du Quesnay" near Deauville, France. The sculpture is signed "Herbert Haseltine 1907" at the base and bears the foundry mark "A. A. Hebrard".
