Description
A pair of ormolu-mounted Swedish porphyry vases (c. 1895) by Alfred Beurdeley Fils, Paris after a late 17th century model in the Galerie d'Apollon at The Louvre. The fluted bodies with ormolu foliage, bifurcated scroll bronze handles enclosing lion masks at each side, and the overhanging rims with foliate ormolu collars below gadrooned covers surmounted by fruit and foliate knobs.
A pair of ormolu-mounted mottled black and red Griotte French Marble columns (French, circa 1895) by Alfred Beurdeley Fils, Paris. The columns have fluted bodies with ormolu collars at the top and base. The tops feature female masks and whorled paterae amidst scrolling foliage, while the base is chiseled with oak leaves, and raised on square plinths. En suite with the pair of vases.
