Description
A silver centerpiece (American c. 1851) designed by John C. Moore for Tiffany, Young & Ellis. Four classical semi-nude female figures representing the four elements (earth, wind, air, fire) around a column supporting a large, shallow bowl with gold-washed interior, raised on a quatrefoil base, the center of the base with an oval inscribed: 'The Albany City Bank/TO/Watts Sherman/1851'.
