Notes
Rich Lupo, Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel, "Downtown Providence has experienced a massive exodus over the years with retail shops and department stores having all but disappeared. There have been few believers of the downtown area, few who have chosen to remain and dig their heels in, but then, there is Rich Lupo. For more than 20 years Lupo has been committed to a cultural life for the city, by providing an oasis with music in a nearly barren Westminster Street. He has presented top flight musical entertainment at his club, while providing a safe haven for young adults and those who enjoy this kind of scene. When called upon to help the community Lupo has always responded with benefits for Amos House, and causes benefitting underprivileged children, " from "Remarkable People: Rhode Island Family Album, 1993-1995, Photographs and writings by Stephan Brigidi, a publication and exhibition at the Newport Art Museum, April 6-June 2, 1996.
