Newspaper signature featuring the cover page, cover verso, the back cover and back cover verso of the Newport Union, Vol. 1, No. 14, Saturday, October 12, 1901. Masthead reads, "Devoted to Questions Pertaining to the Educational, Religious, Industrial, Social and Political Progress of the Colored Race". The above-the-fold cover article recounts the tenth anniversary of the Union League. Newspaper has been conserved, but in poor condition with many tears, and missing pieces. Very fragile.
