A VICTORIAN CARVED WALNUT DESK (American, 19th century), the superstructure contains shelves flanked by shaped drawers, the writing surface is inset with a shaped leather panel, the kneehole frieze contains a long drawer with two short drawers on either side, the desk stands on four cabriole legs carved at the knees with foliage and ending in foliate toes.
