Description
A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE GLAZED BEECH WOOD FAUTEUILS (French, c. 1900) with oval backs, seats, and padded armrests upholstered in a later multicolored floral needlework on a beige ground with brass upholstery tacks. The back crest rail is carved with bell flowers and surmounted by a floral spray of roses, daises, lilacs, and marguerites. The armrests are raised on carved supports. The bow front seat rail is carved with bell flowers similar to the crest rail. The chairs are raised on four columnar spiral fluted legs with toupie feet.
